I'm not going to waste time describing events, I had a skimmer first put in and had a few roach and a couple more skimmers to come last on the lake with 6lb odd. I used every single hook I had tied to 0.08, 0.10 and 0.12, I was in the 0.13 Kaisen's at the end, lost an elastic/rig and smashed an old favourite float. No matter where I went in the peg, short, long, waggler, I hooked a carp, once I'd used over 40 hooks, I pretty much gave up and resigned myself to being on a peg absloutely full of carp and I could not find a way of getting through them.
It looks like I may have 4 weeks to tie up some new hooks.....
